Petrojet thrash Gaish in eight-goal thriller
Published in FilGoal on 15 - 08 - 2008

Petrojet became on top of the Egyptian League table after a stunning 6-2 win over Gaish on Thursday.
Mokhtar Mokhtar's men had a blistering start as they scored three goals in 25 minutes through Ahmed Shaaban, 5, Mahmoud Abdul-Hakim, 16, and Al-Sayed Hamdi, 25.
Ivorian pair, Zeka Goory, 35, and Mohamed Koffi, 45, added two more to end the first half on a 5-0 thrashing lead.
Going 11 minutes into the second half, Goory made a solo effort to break through Gaish's area and strike his second and Petrojet's sixth goal of the game.
Points and reputation, Gaish had nothing more to lose. They pushed forward and scored two late goals from Ernest Papa Arko, 83, and Anwar Masood, 90, but that wasn't enough to get anything out of this game.
Petrojet are now on top of the table with 6 points alongside Masri and Telecom Egypt.
Elsewhere, Telecom Egypt came back from a goal down to beat Ghazl Mahalla 3-1 and maintain their perfect start of the season.
Morsi Abdul-Latif put the visitors ahead in the 39th minute. Not for too long as Magdi Abdul-Atti scored the equalizer two minutes later and Ahmed Gaaffar hit a second-half brace in the 70th and 90th minute to clinch the full points of the game.
