Beijing 2008: African trio reach football quarters

Ivory Coast have accompanied Nigeria and Cameroon to the men's football quarter-finals in Beijing 2008.
The Elephants beat Australia 1-0 in Group A to finish second with six points, three less than leaders Argentina, who saw off Serbia 2-0.
In Group B, Nigeria finished top after beating USA 2-1 as Holland came second after their 1-0 win over Japan.
Sydney 2000 gold medalists Cameroon played out a goalless draw with Italy to go through to the last eight with the Azzurri.
Brazil maintained their perfect record with a 3-0 thrashing to host nation China, Belgium finished second after beating New Zealand 1-0.
