Zamalek keeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed tipped new signings to make difference against Ahli in the Super Cup on Sunday. Midfielders Mahmoud Samir and Alaa Kamal, Brazilian left-winger Ricardo and Egyptian international defender Hani Saied all joined Zamalek this summer and seem ready to take part in the Cairo derby. "They all looked sharp in training," the veteran goalie told FilGoal.com on Saturday. "I believe they can help Zamalek recover from the defeat against Ahli last week and win the Super Cup." Zamalek lost 2-1 to Ahli in the African Champions League last Sunday, stretching their embarrassing record against their arch-rivals. The Whites were defeated 12 times in the last 14 derbies and their situation got even worse as they miss several key players in the Super Cup clash. Al-Sayed's side miss prolific forward Gamal Hamza, veteran midfielder Mohamed Aboul-Ella, playmaker Mahmoud Abdul-Razeq 'Shikabala' and full-back Ahmed Ghanem due to suspension. Striker Abdul-Halim Ali was dropped from the 18-man squad through injury. But the international goalie believes that Zamalek's new players will be up to the challenge. "Hamza and Shikabala are very important players but Samir and Kamal are able to fill the void," Al-Sayed said. "Ricardo is also a very talented player and will add great value to our side."
