New arrivals Amr Adel and Mahmoud Samir could make their debuts when Zamalek visit Ghazl Mahalla in the Egyptian League opener on Friday. Both men have been included in a preliminary 20-man squad for the match. The squad, which didn't include injured duo Junior Agogo and Hani Saied, will be trimmed to 18 players few hours before the match. Defender Adel features in Zamalek's squad for the first time since joining from military club Al-Gaish in the close season. He wasn't chosen for the team's 2-0 defeat to arch-rivals Ahli in the Egyptian Super Cup. Playmaker Samir, who arrived from Arab Contractors, is also in line to make his debut, having missed last month's Super Cup. Right-back Ahmed Ghanem returns to the squad after serving a one-match suspension.
