English Premier League side Wigan Athletic are still in Amr Zaki's chase despite recent speculation that the deal has collapsed, claimed Wigan Today. The report said that the "Latics have not given up all hope of securing the services of Egypt striker Amr Zaki." Wigan and Zamalek have agreed a one-year loan deal worth £1.5 with a first option to sign him for £4.5m next summer. They would also pay an extra £500,000 if Zaki scored 10 goals this season. Zamalek President Mamdouh Abbas reversed his position after a bust-up with the 25-year old striker last week. "But Latics have kept a dialogue open with Zamalek, who could reconsider their stance," the report revealed. Meanwhile, Steve Bruce is already considering a number of options upfront, including Everton's Andy Johnson and South American duo Daniel Arismendi and Salvador Cabanas.
