Emad Meteb and Amr Zaki have been passed fit to participate in Egypt's World Cup qualifier against Malawi on Sunday, assistant coach Hamada Sedki said. "Meteb is 100% fit. He will be included in Egypt's squad for Malawi match," Sedki told FilGoal.com on Tuesday. "Zaki will be also available. He sustained a minor bruise to his knee in the 1-0 defeat to Malawi but it will not prevent him from playing on Sunday." The news comes as a major boost for Egypt coach Hassan Shehata, who missed several of his key players in the stunning defeat to Malawi on Saturday. Inexperienced duo Ahmed Raouf and Ahmed Eid were Shehata's only options upfront. The Pharaohs will be seeking a much-needed win to allay fears over their chances to progress to the next round of the qualifiers. Egypt, who have six points from three matches, slipped to third in Group 12 following their away defeat to Malawi. Malawi and DR Congo head the group due to their better goal difference than the six-time African champions.
