Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri has played down claims that his side sympathizes with relegation-threatened clubs following the 2-1 win over Aluminum on Thursday. "We have many objectives now but our priority has always been to win," Al-Badri told a press conference after the game. The league champions deployed a second-string side in their defeats against Ittihad and ENPPI. With two matches left to play, Aluminum dropped to the 14th place with 27 points. Al-Badri praised Osama Hosni, who scored Ahli's winner. "Osama is a very good striker and I am happy he made such a good return," he said.
