Inter Milan will have to do without striker Julio Cruz in the Coppa Italia final with Roma, after the Argentine was handed a three-match cup ban. Cruz was charged with violent conduct for punching Lazio's Aleksander Kolarov in last week's 2-0 semi-final win. The match referee missed the incident, but television replays proved that the Inter striker was very fortunate to remain on the pitch. Subsequently, the Italian FA decided to hand Cruz a three-match ban, which will only be applied in the cup, according to rules in Italy. This means that the former Bologna man can play with the Nerazzurri in the crucial Serie A final game at Parma next week. Inter will also miss defender Marco Materazzi in the Coppa final on May 24th, following the Italy center-half's red card during the Lazio game. Materazzi was guilty of producing a late lunge on Macedonian striker Goran Pandev.
