Milan boosted their Champions League hopes with a 2-1 victory over arch-rivals Inter, a result that revives Roma's hopes of causing a huge upset in Serie A. The victory helped Milan leapfrog Fiorentina into fourth place in the table on 61 points with two matches to go. Fiorentina, who were handed a 2-1 defeat to Cagliari, are fifth on 60 points as their hopes of claiming the final Champions League qualifying spot took a major blow. Roma, who crushed Sampdoria 3-0, will be grateful to Milan for outplaying Inter at San Siro as they narrowed the gap with leaders Nerazzurri to just three points. The Giallorossi still have a chance to win their fourth league title in history. Kaka's Brilliance Brazilian playmaker inspired Milan to a much-deserved win over Inter. His pinpoint cross from the right six minutes after the break found Filippo Inzaghi, who headed home at the near post. Five minutes later, Marek Jankulovski dispossessed Inter Milan right-back Maicon and fed Kaka, who slotted past Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar. Argentinean striker Julio Cruz pulled one back in the 70th minute to give Inter a lifeline and notch his 100th goal in Serie A. His free-kick from the edge of the area found its way into the net past a badly-positioned Zeljko Kalac. But Milan held on to claim a precious win after a disappointing trophy-less season.
