Ahli goalkeeper Amir Abdul-Hamid allayed fears over his hamstring injury sustained against Petrojet in the Egyptian League on Thursday. "I'm sure I will be back in training within two days to be able to play against Ismaili next Thursday," Abdul-Hamid told Modern Sport after Ahli's 3-1 win over Petrojet. The 28-year-old goalie was replaced by youngster Ahmed Abdul-Moneim with few minutes remaining after complaining of hamstring strain. "The technical staff preferred to take him off as we were worried he could aggravate the injury," Ahli goalkeeping coach Ahmed Nagui said. Essam Al-Hadari's shocking departure to Swiss side Sion without the consent of Ahli left the Red Devils in keeper selection dilemma. The Cairo giants now have just two keepers in their CAF Champions League squad. They will be able to add a third guardian prior to the Champions League group stage, which starts in July.
