Ahmed Hassan scored twice to help Ghazl Mahalla claim a 4-2 home victory over Aluminum in the Egyptian League on Saturday. Mohamed Abdul-Shafi and Al-Bassiouni Mahmoud were also on the scoresheet for Mahalla to lead them to an impressive win. Two strikes from Ivorian striker Ingrid Digba and Yasser Mostafa weren't enough for Aluminum. The victory put Mahalla in seventh place with 29 points as they virtually guaranteed top-division safety. Aluminum lie 10th on 22 points, just four points clear of the relegation zone. Hassan broke the deadlock after 24 minutes with a well-placed shot. Ahmed Al-Malla should have doubled the lead shortly after but he blasted wide despite going clear on goal. Abdul-Shafi extended Mahalla's advantage in the 56th minute after converting Ahmed Abdul-Hakim's pinpoint cross. Digba pulled one back for the visitors six minutes later when he headed home Mostafa's cross. The 25-year-old Hassan killed off Aluminum hopes moments later to take his tally to eight goals this season. Mahmoud completed the rout nine minutes from time before Mostafa scored a late consolation for Aluminum.
