Mohamed Ibrahim scored for the second game in a row to fire Zamalek 1-0 past ENPPI on Monday. The Whites jumped to the fourth spot with 34 points, two behind second-placed Gaish. Ruud Krol opted for a 3-4-2-1 formation using Amr Zaki as a lone striker with Mahmoud Abdul-Razeq 'Shikabala' and Magdi Atwa moving to the flanks. The keepers had a lot to do in the first half as Zamalek's Mohamed Abdul-Monsef denied a an attempt from Ivorian striker Vincent Di Foneye in the 14th minute. ENPPI's Mostafa Kamal made some heroic saves to keep his clean sheet against Shikabala and Mahmoud Fathallah's efforts. With the first half ending scoreless, Krol decided to put more pressure on ENPPI's defense and brought into action striker Sherif Ashraf. The answer came in the 68th minute. Ibrahim struck to break the deadlock when he met Tarek Al-Sayed's left-wing cross with a powerful header. Zaki could have doubled the score as he intercepted the ball in the area but his finish missed the target. ENPPI had to finish the game with only 10 men on the pitch as Ayman Saied was shown the red in the 90th minute for a second bookable offense.
