Egypt assistant coach Shawki Gharib said his side will have a full-strength squad available for their African Cup of Nations opener against Cameroon on Tuesday. Goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari slightly twisted his ankle on Sunday while defender Ibrahim Saied suffered a persistent knee problem. However, Gharib insisted there are no injury worries ahead of the anticipating game against the Indomitable Lions. "All the players are ready to play the match," the former Egypt youth coach told FilGoal.com. "Saied has recovered from injury and nears full fitness but coach Hassan Shehata will determine whether we will field him or not." Skipper Ahmed Hassan will be the only absentee due to suspension. Gharib stressed that the Pharaohs are targeting top spot in Group C, which features Cameroon, Sudan and Zambia. "We want to finish this round on top of our group to stay in Kumasi, where we found good support." Despite organizational troubles in Ghana, Gharib insisted Egypt were not affected as they fully concentrate on the task ahead of them. "We are the defending champions. We have to oppose all external forces," he concluded.
