Zambia named a depleted final squad for the African Cup of Nations due to injuries. Prominent striker Collins Mbesuma failed to make the 23-man list as he suffers a knee injury. "Zambia has a lot of players and we shall soon find a replacement for Mbesuma," Zambian striker James Chamanga said on the absence of his teammate. Manager Patrick Phiri was also forced to drop Moses Sichone and Andrew Sinkala because of different injuries. Zambia play Egypt in Group C, that also includes Cameroon and Sudan.
