Zambia coach Herve Renard said that his team are capable of producing a surprise when they meet Egypt in the African World Cup qualifier in Cairo on March 29th. The Chipolopolo were drawn against the Pharaohs, Algeria and Rwanda in Group C of the qualifiers' final stage and Renard is confident of his team's chances against the African champions. "Nothing is impossible in football, and we're confident of our abilities. We have the same chance of reaching the World Cup as Algeria, Rwanda and even Egypt. "Renard confirmed. "We are totally aware of Egypt's might, but still facing them is better than meeting a team like Cameroon or Ivory Coast." The French tactician stressed that a positive result in Cairo will be a brilliant start to his team's qualifying campaign. Singuluma Justification
Renard added that he named upcoming striker Given Singuluma in place of Collins Mbesuma as he needs to take advantage of the former's brilliant form. "After finishing as goal scorer of the African Nations Competition, Singuluma is enjoying a great confidence which I can't disregard," said the 39-year-old coach. "As for Mbesuma, he will be very valuable to us in our home qualifiers." Despite naming four strikers in the squad facing Egypt, Renard stressed that his team will be adopting a very cautious attack against Hassan Shehata's men. "Whether we play with one or two strikers, our attackers will have defensive duties. "I believe that strikers need to pressure our opponents and halt their attacks from upfront."
