Stuttgart sporting director Horst Heldt has revealed interest in signing Bayern Munich out-of-favor striker Lukas Podolski. "We suffer a lot in our striking department after Mario Gomez and Cacau injuries and we need Podolski," Heldt told Bild on Monday. The 22-year old striker lost his place in Ottmar Hitzfeld's lineup as Italian Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose compose a terrific pair, scoring each 8 goals to be joint leaders of the Bundesliga scorers' chart. The former Cologne player announced that he wants a move out of Bayern as he is looking for regular football. Heldt said that Stuttgart made an enquiry to try to get him in January.
