Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti revealed that he could sign at least one or two players when the transfer window reopens in January to strengthen his squad for the Champions League campaign. "I wasn't planning to spend money in January, but after the injury of Samuel things have changed," said the Nerazzuri supremo. "We are looking for an intelligent signing. It will have to be convenient from all point of views, both economically and technically." Manager Roberto Mancini will have to do without defender Samuel and Dejan Stankovic who have been ruled out until the end of the season with long-term injuries. Luis Figo, Patrick Vieira and Olivier Dacourt are also suffering niggling injuries. "I don't think we will sign an Italian, and I see no reason why he shouldn't be foreign. We would like to sign a player who could play in the Champions League," concluded Moratti.
