Alessandro Del Piero scored twice and Gianluigi Buffon produced stunning saves to lead Juventus to a 3-2 away victory over Lazio in the Serie on Saturday. The newly-promoted Juventus trail leaders Inter by five points. Serie A top scorer Trezeguet was fortunate to break the deadlock. Hassan Salihamidzic's close-range shot bounced off his ankle from five yards and went into the net. Television replays placed the goal's validity in doubt as the French frontman appeared to be in an offside position. Pandev notched the equalizer soon when he was picked out unmarked at the far post by Massimo Mutarelli's cross to head home. Juventus regained their lead through Del Piero, who latched on to a through pass to beat the offside trap and go clear before drilling a low shot into the bottom corner of the net. Italy keeper Buffon demonstrated why he is regarded as number one in the world when he brilliantly blocked Tommaso Rocchi's close-range volley with one hand.
