Masri have appointed Portuguese coach Juan Alves as their new manager following the sacking of Helmi Toulan, the club announced on Sunday. Alves will earn $25,000 as a monthly salary, the Port Said-based club said. Hossam Ghoweiba, who was recently hired as a caretaker coach, will be Alves' assistant. Ashraf Abdul-Ellah has been appointed as trainer and Bakri Ashour has been named as the new goalkeeping coach. Masri are struggling in the Egyptian League as they lie third from bottom with nine points from ten games.
