Brazilian striker Adriano has been excluded from Inter Milan squad participating in the UEFA Champions League 2007/2008. Coach Roberto Mancini sent a 25-man squad and the name of the 25-year-old striker has been omitted. Adriano has been out-of-favor at the Italian Champions after a dramatic drop in form. He featured in only a handful of games during Inter's last campaign. He has been linked with many clubs before the closing of the transfer window but the Brazil star ruled out any loan deals and asked for a permanent move. Inter coach Roberto Mancini, speaking before the squad was announced, said: "I have told him face to face what he needs to do and there is no need for me to say it in public." Adriano is set to undergo a tough program to recover his form. But he is reported to be on the brink of leaving Inter in January after moving down the pecking order behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Julio Cruz, Hernan Crespo and David Suazo.
