Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh extended their African winning streak at home to 13 matches after thrashing Nigeria's Kwara United 4-1 in the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday. Mogahed Ahmed opened the scoring in the 13th minute before Abdul-Hamid Al-Soudei doubled the lead 11 minutes later. Mohamed Safari added the third one minute before the break and Brazilian Paulinho completed the rout six minutes past the hour mark. David Jerome scored the consolation for the visitors one minute from time. The victory put Al-Merrikh in charge of Group B with seven points, one ahead of Nigeria's Dolphin. Egyptian club Ismaili, who hosts Dolphin on Sunday, lie at the bottom with just two points.
