Ittihad manager Mohamed Omar stepped down from his position following his team's 2-0 home defeat against Arab Contractors on Saturday night. The club's Vice-president, Mohamed Mosselhi, told FilGoal.com that the board accepted the resignation of Omar and that they are in negotiations with former Zamalek coach Mahmoud Saad. “We opened talks with Zamalek in order to get Saad (youth teams' manager) and we are also in negotiations with Mohamed Salah,” added Mosselhi. Omar was booed by the fans during the match after Ittihad collected a single point from their past two encounters in the Egyptian League. But the head coach will keep his place until the appointment of a new coach and he may lead the team against Zamalek on Wednesday.
