Mohamed Omar has confirmed on Sunday that he stepped down from his post as Ittihad coach due to 'unhealthy atmosphere' within the team. "There are many people who destabilize Ittihad through their avidity of having a leading the role in the club," Omar told FilGoal.com. "I can't work in this unhealthy atmosphere so I decided to hand in my resignation." Omar has initially revealed his intention to leave Ittihad following the team's 2-0 defeat to Arab Contractors in the Egyptian League. However, he led the Alexandria-based club against Zamalek but a 2-0 away defeat to the Cairo giants sealed his fate. "I will fly to Lebanon for a one-week vacation before considering my options," he added. FilGoal.com learned that Ittihad are considering approaching either Aluminum coach Sabri Al-Miniawi or German tactician Michael Krueger.
