Zamalek edged Belgian side Cercle Brugge 2-1 in the third match of their pre-season European tour on Sunday. Tunisian defender Wissem El-Abdi put the Egyptian side ahead at the half-hour mark, but Ukrainian international Serhiy Serebrennikov leveled the score for Cercle after 69 minutes. Zamalek veteran striker Abdul-Halim Ali scored the winner ten minutes from time to give the Whites their first pre-season victory. Zamalek will complete their European tour by facing Standard Liege on Wednesday.
