Amr Zaki's late striker earned Zamalek a 1-1 draw with Belgium second division side K.V. Kortrijk on Saturday in their last pre-season friendly. Jimmy Hempte put Kortrijk ahead ten minutes after the interval before striker Zaki leveled the score in stoppage time. Zamalek newly-signed defender Mahmoud Fathallah made his debut and midfielder Magdi Atwa also took part despite being handed an EGP 10,000 for missing the team's Gymnasium training. The Cairo giants began their pre-season friendlies with a 1-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain before settling for a goalless draw against Nancy. Their only victory came at the expense of Belgium's Cercle Brugge with a 2-1 score.
