Zamalek have paid $150,000 to Turkish side Rizespor on Thursday morning to secure Beshir Al-Tabie's signing on a three-year deal and end the transfer saga surrounding the Egyptian defender. "The deal is almost done, we are just waiting for the player's international clearance," Zamalek board member Mohamed Sabri Abou-Alam told FilGoal.com. Zamalek have previously announced that they reached an agreement with Rizespor to sign the combative defender. Even Al-Tabie himself said he will wear the white and red jersey next season but an expected action by him on Wednesday fuelled rumors that he could join Zamalek's arch-rivals Ahli. Al-Tabie met Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi and expressed his desire to join the Egyptian champions and snub Zamalek's overture. However, just few hours after his meeting with Al-Qaeyi, Al-Tabie went to Cairo Stadium to attend Zamalek's Egyptian Cup semi-final against Asyut Petroleum, where he assured the fans he would be playing with the whites next season. The player's actions have infuriated Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas, who was reportedly willing to cancel the deal but feared the fans' anger. Al-Tabie has seemingly met Al-Qaeyi in order to mount pressure on Zamalek to pay his dues before the new season starts although certain amount is due to be handed to the player according to number of appearances.
