Zamalek's newly-signed defender Beshir Al-Tabie is relieved to have been given his transfer fee after a period of uncertainty regarding his money. The Cairo giants announced signing Al-Tabie on a three-year deal from Rizespor subject to the Turkish club receiving the player's 130,000 euros release clause. "The negotiations near conclusion, everything has been almost settled. We are just waiting for an agreement to be reached about the way the money will be paid to Rizespor," a Zamalek board member, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told FilGoal.com on Friday. However, Zamalek's reluctant in paying the combative defender the money they agreed on sparked fears that the transfer could collapse. "I hesitated to join my former club Zamalek because I was not sure they would fulfill their promises regarding the financial issues," Al-Tabie told FilGoal.com. "But when I received EGP 650,000 I made the final decision to return to Egypt and have another spell with Zamalek." Al-Tabie joined Rizespor in 2004 and established himself as a regular first-team player. He helped the club survive relegation to the Turkish second division this season.
