Sudan, Morocco reach Ghana finals
Published in FilGoal on 16 - 06 - 2007

Sudan have booked their place in the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana for the first time in 32 years after grabbing 2-0 away victory over Seychelles in Group four action on Saturday.
Faisal Ajab opened the score line just before the break and Haitham Tambal ensured the victory one minute past the hour mark.
Sudan, whose last African Cup appearance came in the 1976 tournament in Ethiopia, secured their spot in Ghana finals as they are on top of their group with 12 points, two ahead of second-placed Tunisia, who face Mauritius later on Saturday.
Even if Sudan failed to win their last match against Tunisia, they will qualify to the African Cup as one of the best three second-placed teams who are granted an automatic entry.
Morocco have also secured passage to next year's finals following a 1-0 away victory over Malawi.

Morocco secure Ghana berth
Bouchaib El Moubarki notched what proved to be the winner after 12 minutes to give The Atlas Lions a berth in Ghana.
Morocco lie on top of Group one with 10 points, seven clear of Malawi with one match remaining.
In Egypt's Group two, Botswana kept their African hopes alive with a 2-0 home win over Mauritania who officially became out of the race.
The Pharaohs, whose match against Burundi was postponed, are in charge of the group on eight points, one ahead of Botswana.
Burundi lie third with six points while Mauritania are at the bottom with just four points.
