Strasbourg lost three vital points in their bid towards Ligue1 promotion next season after they were defeated 1-0 by mid-table Libourne Saint-Seurin on Friday. The only goal of the game came after just 10 minutes from Croatian striker Zvonimir Deranja. Strasbourg missed Egyptian defender Ahmed Abou-Mosallam who was ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury he suffered three weeks ago. Strasbourg are second in the Ligue2 table on 61 points, leading closest rivals Caen by one point but the latter will play on Monday. Leaders Metz have already booked their ticket to the Ligue1 next season as they are on top with 76 points, while Strasbourg, Caen and Amiens are battling for the other two spots.
