Goalkeeper Fathi extends Ismaili stay

Ismailia – Yasser Al-Sherif: Ismaili club has extended the contract of goalkeeper Mohamed Fathi until 2011.
The 31-year-old guardian put pen to paper on a four-year-contract worth EGP 1.7 million.
Fathi revealed that he preferred to stay with Ismaili rather than complete a move to rivals Masri next season.
“I received a better offer from Masri, but I love Ismaili and I am happy to stay committed to the dervishes,” Fathi told FilGoal.com's correspondent.
Meanwhile, Ismaili coach Patrice Neveu has decided not to play any exhibition games during the current Egyptian league layoff period.
The French boss said that with 13 Ismaili players on international duty with the National and Olympic Egyptian teams, his priority was to rest the remainder of the squad and help them recover before resuming the competition.
