ENPPI were dumped out of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday following a 1-0 home defeat to Algerian side ASO Chlef in the second-leg of the competition's round of 32. Yassine Boukhari notched what proved to be the winner in the 22nd minute when he ghosted behind Amr Fahim to meet Khaled Tamoura's cross with a low drive past Mostafa Kamal. ENPPI produced a mediocre performance throughout the game, failing to capitalize on their goalless draw away from home two weeks ago. Defender Mohamed Younis managed to halt ENPPI's best chance in the 35th minute when he horribly missed the target inches from the line. A free-kick from the right-flank evaded the keeper and continued its way to the net but Younis intercepted, trying to make certain of the goal, but he instead headed across the line before Chlef's defense cleared the ball away. ENPPI are the second Egyptian club to be knocked out from the preliminaries of an African competition after Zamalek were eliminated from the CAF Champions League at the hands of Sudan's Hilal.
