Egyptian defender Amir Azmi has been included in Al-Shabab's 30-man squad for the AFC Champions League. The versatile defender has completed a move to the Saudi champions earlier this week and is set to be unveiled in a press conference in Riyadh on Thursday. Azmi is one of three foreign players included in Al-Shabab's Asian squad along with Iraq international Nashaat Akram and Ghanaian striker Goodwin Atram. The Saudi league titleholders commence their Champions League campaign by facing former Asian champions Al-Ain in the opening match of Group D which includes Sepahan of Iran and Syrian champions Ittihad. Azmi also replaced Senegalese striker Endo Osman as the third and final foreigner in Al-Shabab's local squad.
