The English FA has handed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Hossam Ghaly on Tuesday a three-match ban, including the North London derby against Arsenal. Ghaly received his marching orders in the closing stages of his side's 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers on Sunday after allegedly elbowing Michael Gray in an aerial challenge. The Egyptian international had earned a spot kick for his side earlier in the second-half after being clipped inside the area by Tugay, who was also dismissed. "At an independent Disciplinary Commission hearing on Tuesday, claims for wrongful dismissal from Blackburn Rovers' Tugay Kerimoglu and Tottenham Hotspur's Hossam Ghaly were both rejected," The FA said. "Ghaly was sent off for violent conduct during the same match. He will serve a three-match suspension," read a statement posted on their website. The 25-year-old will remain on the sidelines when Tottenham play Middlesbrough, Wigan Athletics and London rivals Arsenal. Ghaly believes that referee Phil Dowd's decision to dismiss him was harsh and accuses Gray of simulating. "I really didn't deserve to get sent-off," Ghaly told FilGoal.com earlier on Tuesday. "All I did was jump to get the ball and collided with Gray who over reacted so I'd get sent-off."
