Hernan Crespo said he had three reasons to celebrate after his goals helped Inter Milan win 4-3 over Chievo Verona guaranteeing the club top spot in Serie A. "At the moment things are going well for me and most of all for Inter," Crespo was quoted as saying by Inter's official website. "I'm three times happy today – for the victory, the two goals and the first place in the table," the Argentine ace said. Despite losing a 4-0 lead against Chievo Verona, Inter Milan held on for the win and as a result has overcome Palermo, Roma and Messina in the rankings, a feat Crespo was pleased to talk about. "A lot of things have been said recently, but in the end we are top of the table and we should be proud," he said. Crespo stepped in for Zlatan Ibrahimovic who had traveled to Sweden to see his newly born son, and quickly proved himself as a steady partner for Brazilian forward Adriano.
He wants European success for Inter . "Adriano set me up with a wonderful assist and did some of the things he usually does," Crespo said. "This is important for him and all of us." Inter's next challenge Bayern Munich on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League, and Crespo admitted his excitement, but urged his team to remain calm. "It will be a hard match, but also exciting to see," he said. "I would really like to score a goal for Inter in the Champions League, but for now let's enjoy this victory the top spot in the table." It was somewhat of a struggle to reach top ranking after Inter's dismal performance against Sporting Lisbon two weeks ago, but Crespo remains unconcerned. "A lot has been said about us these days. They said we weren't playing well and too many words were spoken, now we have to stay calm and keep our feet on the ground."
