Ronaldinho said he is ready to fight for a starting place in the Brazilian team under new coach Dunga. The former Brazil international, who captained his country to 1994 World Cup gold, made it clear he won't be playing favorites when selecting his squad. "I am here to do my best for Brazil and show I want to be in the national team for as long as possible," Ronaldinho was quoted as saying by BBC Sport ahead of Brazil's international friendly against Wales on Tuesday. "Every day you have to prove you deserve to be in the starting 11," the Barcelona star said. "A professional footballer has to 'kill a lion' every day to prove themselves worthy of being kept in the team." The 26-year-old playmaker admitted that Brazil's showing at the World Cup finals in Germany earlier this summer wasn't up to standard and that affected the entire team, and especially himself.
Dunga "Every player in the Brazil squad went home shattered," he said "For me it was harder because I created a lot of expectations after the unbelievable form I'd been in. Now I'm more determined to show what I can do." Ronaldinho sat out Brazil's 3-0 trouncing of arch-rivals Argentina in a friendly at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday through injury, but was cleared for the game against Wales. Asked if he will be able to duplicate last season's brilliant form with Barcelona with the Seleçمo Ronaldinho said: "I always try to play how I play for Barcelona but tactically it has been a bit different with Brazil. "Barcelona play very attacking football," he said. "They involve me in everything. I like to play further forward with more freedom. "This is a new era. I have had a conversation about it with Dunga."
