AS Roma skipper Francesco Totti said that he will play on for the Italian team, ending speculations around his international career. Totti earlier said that World Cup is likely to be his last appearance in an Italy shirt and that he will quit the international scene to concentrate on his career with his beloved Roma. "I am ready to play for the Azzurri again. Let us meet and talk about it," Totti was quoted as telling Italy coach Roberto Donadoni by La Gazzetta Dello Sport on Friday. Totti, who played his first game for Italy under former coach Dino Zoff against Switzerland in 1998, scored 10 goals in 58 international games. "I thought long and hard after the World Cup and I am ready to come back, but first I want to recover completely from the injury I suffered in February." Totti, suffered from a fractured ankle which kept him out of most of last season and effected the his performances at the World Cup, was left out of the 2-0 defeat to Croatia on Wednesday where Donadoni opted to rest all the World Cup stars.
