Saudi Arabia beat Bahrain 1-0 in the friendly game played in Dammam on Wednesday as part of the team's preparations for the Asian Nations Cup qualifier against India. The only goal of the game came in the 17th minute through Yasser Al-Qahtani after the Saudi striker headed a pinpoint cross from Mohamed Amin in the back of the Bahraini net. Saudi Arabia team will resume their Asian Cup group C qualifiers with an away game to India on August 16th, which will be the team's first competitive game since losing 1-0 to Spain in the World Cup. Meanwhile Bahrain's game against Lebanon was postponed due to the current ongoing Israeli-Lebanese war.
