Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has described selling defender Ashley Cole to Chelsea as a "massive" blow for the team. "He is one of the best left-backs in the world. We would miss him badly," Henry told The Sun newspaper on Wednesday. The French ace said he has no idea what was going on with Cole's transfer situation, but insisted that allowing him to move to rivals Chelsea would not be the smartest idea. "I don't know anything about the situation with Chelsea but if he goes there it will look like we are trying to catch a team as well as giving them one of our best assets. "It would be difficult to take," he added. The 28-year-old striker compared a possible Cole exit to that of former skipper and countryman Patrick Vieira last summer.
Ashley Cole "The loss of Vieira was massive - like it would be if Ashley goes. "If Ashley goes, we would be losing one of the team's best assets for the second year running," Henry said. Cole was left out of Arsenal's 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League preliminaries, signaling a possible move across London. Nevertheless, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said that Arsenal have until the end of the week to make up their mind regarding the sale of the England fullback. "It is in their hands and we have to wait," said Mourinho. "If we have no solution about him in a couple of days, we turn the corner and we see other faces."
