French side Monaco have signed Valencia striker Marco Di Vaio on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee, the Ligue 1 outfit announced on their official website on Thursday. The Italian striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Monaco, where he scored five goals in 15 games. The French club opted to lure him on a permanent basis as Di Vaio demanded a move away from Valencia. The 30-year-old endured a disappointing campaign with Valencia as he failed to hold down a regular place after the arrival of Spanish international striker David Villa.
