Ahli defender Mohamed Abdullah said he missed his side's training earlier this week due to illness, rejecting reports saying he was angry because of being left on the bench. "I have no problems with the coaching staff, I just missed training because of teeth-pain and I am training normally for two days now," Abdullah told FilGoal.com on Thursday. Since his arrival from Ismaili last season, Abdullah failed to secure a starting place with the Egyptian champions as coach Manuel Jose opted to field first-choice right-back Islam Al-Shater. The Egyptian international said he will never protest the coach's policies but hinted that he may accept an offer to return to Ismaili if he is out of Jose's plans for next season. "I will not question the coach's choices, but I want to know my weakness points to improve it," the 26-year-old defender said. "If Ismaili submitted an official bid and Ahli accepted it, I will leave because I don't want to feel unwanted here. "But in case Ahli refuse to let me go, I'll do my best in order to participate with my team next season." It is unlikely that Ahli will release Abdullah currently as they suffer a big shortage in defenders with Ahmed Al-Sayed and Emad Al-Nahhas sidelined due to injury. International left-back Mohamed Abdul-Wahab, who plays for Ahli on loan but still bounded to UAE side Al-Zafra, is also doubtful for the upcoming games.
