Manchester City have signed Dietmar Hamann from Bolton Wonderers whom he joined just earlier this week, the club said on Wednesday. "Everything here at City is geared for the club to make progress and I want to play my part in bringing success to this football club," Hamann told the official website of his new club. Hamann joined Bolton from Liverpool just this week but he had a change of heart and decided to kick-off next season with Manchester City. "I had agreed to join Bolton, but I quickly realized that going to them would not be the right move for me," the 32-year-old German international said. "I told Bolton my feelings immediately and they understood my decision." Hamann, who won the Champions League with Liverpool, said he enjoyed his seven-year spell at Anfield and was grateful to his latter side. "I want to thank everyone connected to Liverpool because they made me feel welcome from day one," he said. "But everything moves on and I am looking forward to the new challenge here at City."
