Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has insisted on Wednesday that Spanish youngster Cesc Fabregas is not for sale. "I would like to make it clear that Cesc Fabregas is not for sale and we will not be listening to any offers for him," Wenger said on Arsenal's official website. Reports have linked Fabregas with a move to Spanish La Liga, particularly with Real Madrid, after their new president Roman Calderon included him in his wanted list for the new season. Despite his young age, the 19-year-old established himself in Arsenal's staring line-up last season, especially after the departure of French midfielder Patrick Vieira who joined Italian giants Juventus. Wenger hailed the progress of the Spanish international since his arrival three years ago from Barcelona. "Since making his first-team debut nearly three years ago, Cesc has progressed remarkably well, with his performances rightfully earning him a place in the Spain World Cup squad," the French tactician said. "At 19 years old, Cesc represents the future of Arsenal Football Club and we are looking forward to him being a major part of our plans for many years to come." Fabregas was a part of Spain's squad that were knocked-out of the World Cup second round after losing to France 3-1. Spanish paper El Mundo Deportivo quoted Fabregas earlier this week confirming that he will be staying with Arsenal next season.
