Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger questioned the validity of Spanish reports as he laughed off talks of an imminent exit for skipper Cesc Fabregas. Fabregas has been reportedly linked with Barcelona and AC Milan ahead of the Gunners Premiership opener with Everton on Saturday. But Wenger reassured that the Spanish schemer is loyal to Arsenal as he joked about making an approach for Barca ace Lionel Messi. "He (Fabregas) is committed to the club and he has told me that and told that to the press," the French coach told the Daily Star. "We cannot master the noises coming out of Spain. In Spain they have the same problems in the newspapers looking for headlines. "When they have no ideas any more, they come out with a Fabregas story. It is not him who encourages the idea. "It is the press who encourages the idea. Where does that come from? Does it come from Fabregas? It comes from Spain. "I have made a bid for Messi and nobody speaks about that. Barcelona's response? £125million!"
