Zamalek goalkeeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed insisted that he will leave Zamalek after certain board members refused to agreed on some of his terms to renew the contract. “I decided to leave Zamalek after some board members, especially vice president Raouf Gasser, refused to sanction the contract,” Al-Sayed told FilGoal.com exclusively on Monday. Al-Sayed had announced that he extended his deal with Zamalek and that he was in possession of the contract and that he would await the board's decision to sanction the new contract by mid-June. The 29-year-old shot-stopper also insisted that he would leave the club if the board didn't sanction the deal. “I would like to thank president Mortada Mansour for his support, and even though I said that I was leaving, I can retract from my decision for him,” Al-Sayed said. Al-Sayed said that he wanted to stay in the club for the fans and insisted that didn't ask to be paid a specific amount at a certain time. “I only asked that I get a payable check from Mansour with the due date written on it, even if it was due after a long time,” Al-Sayed said. The Egypt keeper also said that he will head to Germany in two days to continue his knee treatment and revealed that he might announce a new deal with another club soon. Asked about moving to Ahli, Al-Sayed said: “I don't know what's going to happen, but anything could.” Al-Sayed had revealed earlier that he might move to recently promoted to the Premiership club, Sheffield United if he leaves Zamalek and insisted that he wasn't going to move to Ahli.
