Zamalek goalkeeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed signed a new contract with the club on Thursday, the player said. Al-Sayed put pen to paper on the deal in a meeting attended by Zamalek board members and club president Mortada Mansour. Abdul-Wahed, who refused to disclose the financial details of the deal, told FilGoal.com that he received 25 % worth of the new contract that will see him with Zamalek until 2009. The Egyptian international had earlier demanded to receive the entire first-year installment upon signing, but agreed to ink the contract after Mansour promised him that he'll receive the money as soon as possible. After signing the new contract, Abdul-Wahed thanked all the club board members especially Mansour, who played the bigger part in securing the deal. Abdul-Wahed's previous contract was due to expire this summer, and the player was almost on his way out of Zamalek after several problems stood in the way of agreeing a new contract with the club.
