Ismaili signed German manager Theo Buecker on a new contract that will see him stay at the club till 2008 for an undisclosed fee, the club said. An Ismaili official told FilGoal.com on condition of anonymity that Buecker received $60,000 as a signing fee in addition to a monthly salary of $15,000. Buecker told reporters after signing that he was approached by Saudi's Asian Champions Ittihad and compatriots Al-Wehda and he was offered the managerial post of the Lebanese national team but he preferred to stay with Ismaili. The former Zamalek and Ittihad Alexandria coach said he preferred to sign on a one-year extension but accepted the current contract after meeting with club interim president Yahia Al-Koami. Al-Koami was the driving force behind re-singing Buecker after he was sacked after only one game in charge at Zamalek this season. Ismaili are fifth in the Egyptian League standings on 32 points with two matches to go.
