The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) have decided to allow five of Hilal's international players to participate against UAE side Al-Ain in the AFC Champions League, Saudi media reported on Tuesday. The SAFF had initially ruled that none of the Saudi international players will participate with their teams in the AFC Champions League, the decision that had a negative impact on Hilal who suffered a 2-1 defeat to Uzbekistan club Mash'al. But the Saudi governing body has made an exception to allow keeper Mohamed Al Deayea, skipper Sami Al-Jaber, Mohamed Al-Shalhoub, Omar Al-Ghamdi and Yasser Al-Qahtani to play with their team in Wednesday's match. The SAFF did not mention the reason for their permit that was not extended to fellow club Al-Shabab.
