Ittihad suffer 1-0 defeat in Confederation Cup

Ittihad Alexandria suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tunisian outfit Esperance in the African Confederation Cup roung-three first-leg that took place on Friday.
Amin L'etaief scored the winning goal for Esperance only eight minutes from time to move his side closer to qualification to the round of 16.
The Alexandria-based club will need to maintain a two-goal advantage at least to guarantee a spot in the round of 16.
Ittihad executed a fully-defensive strategy to squander a great chance of using Esperance's obvious poor form and score a number of goals.
Nevertheless, Esperance posed two serious threats over Ittihad goalkeeper Samir Ashour's net and managed to score the winning goal from one of them.
L'etaief netted Esperance's winner in the 82nd minute after making use of a lethal Ittihad defense blunder and firing it into the net from close-range.
