French striker Thierry Henry said he will decide before the World Cup whether to stay with Arsenal or make a move out. "At the end of the season we are going to have to take a decision. It will be done before the World Cup, that's for sure," the Arsenal captain said in an interview with the club's online TV. The 28-year-old Henry has been linked with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid. Other reports suggested that he may re-sign for Italian champions Juventus to join compatriot and former Arsenal team mate Patrick Vieira. Speculations have been fueled by Henry's repeated refusal to sign an extension to his contract that ends in June 2007 despite official promises from the club administration to give him "the biggest contract in the club's history". But Henry said financial terms were not and won't be his first priority.
Henry (L) "People were talking about money but I think people should know by now I am not someone who thinks about the money before the game," he said. "That is why, when I talked about sporting ambitions, I was talking about the pitch and nothing else." Arsenal are battling with London rivals Tottenham for the fourth spot in local standings to secure a Champions League berth next season. However, they enjoy a much more successful European campaign, sitting on the brink of qualifying to the semis after a 2-0 home victory over Juve in the first leg of the quarter-finals. Henry splits the Premiership's top scorer spot with Ruud Van Nistelrooy of Manchester United, with 21 goals each. He also found the net four times in the Champions League including a decisive away goal against Real Madrid in the first knock-out stage.
