Real Mallorca came from a goal down to beat Real Madrid 2-1 in their Primera Liga match on Sunday. Sergio Ramos opened the score for Real in the 32nd minute, while Leonardo Pisculichi and Juan Arango scored the winners for Mallorca in the 53rd and 79th minutes respectively. With this result, Mallorca managed to jump temporarily out of the relegation zone after placing 16th in the league standings with a tally of 25 points, while Real failed to make use of Valencia's gift, after tying 1-1 with Getafe, and settled for third place with 48 points. Real started the match brilliantly and dominated the pitch for the majority of the time, paving the way for Ramos to put his side in the lead after connecting with a David Beckham free-kick in the 32nd minute. Pisculichi out Mallorca at level in the 53rd minute from a spot-kick after Ramos awarded the visitors a penalty shot following a tug on Antonia Tuni. Arango netted the winner for Mallorca only 11 minutes from time after rounding his way into the area and eased the ball into the net. This is Real's second consecutive defeat, after last week's UEFA Champions League defeat to Arsenal, following a six-week winning-streak. Elsewhere, Getafe held Valencia to a 1-1 draw at home, barring the home side from two important points in their race against Barcelona for the La Liga title. David Navarro gave Valencia the lead in the 77th minute before Getafe substitute Nano grabbed the equalizer three minutes from time. Valencia come a runners-up with a tally of 50 points to leaders Barcelona, who are eight points ahead.
